History and Description

THALDIRITH (the Dauntless Vigil) is determined to alleviate the burden of grinding, facilitate grouping opportunities, and help member characters achieve end-game, while also remaining respectful of any player's choice to enjoy any and all aspects of the game at their own pace and discretion. We are a smaller kinship (5 pages) which places an emphasis on individuals; we value mature, friendly, communicative players. Benefits  include a thematic role-playing story-line, seasoned members, rank of officership to active character-members, plus multiple housing storage chests and facilities. Alt characters are welcomed. For more information read our Charter (the 2nd tab from the left above). Thaldirith was founded in March of 2014 as an all-elven role-playing kinship called NOST AMOR (the House of Amor), with a story-line that revolved around a core family group returning from Valinor. Their call for allies to combat the dark forces of Mordor throughout Middle-earth eventually included other character races, however, and independent member character developments outside the main campaign became more commonplace. Apart from this, our focus as a kinship became more all-inclusive and other aspects of the game (including crafting, questing, leveling, grouping, and pvp) became more commonplace. True to being a Landroval server kinship, role-play remains encouraged but is not required.


The Purpose of this Site:

This website serves as a way of referencing the kinship outside the game. Understandably, many players find the required use of a website (as is sometimes the case with heavy rp-groups or raiding kins, for example) to be burdensome and even invasive. When they log off and attend to real life demands and responsibilities, they don't necessarily want to think about the game. As such, while existing members are encouraged to use the site as an alternative to communication via in-game mail, kin-chat postings, or tells, this site is primarily intended to give those unfamiliar with Thaldirith an idea as to what we are about. It also serves to catalogue various things for easy reference while in-game. It does not necessarily act as a measuring device of our activities or successes, but does offer an additional direct line of communication. Anything posted will be brought to the attention of appropriate members in-game and in a timely fashion.
